THAILAND - Phuket
Aahh Phuket! Thailands gem in the Andaman Sea. Pumping nightlife, beautiful beaches and even more beautiful lady boys. A warning to all the blokes out there, go through the following checklist; search for the Adams apple, check size of arms and legs, look for the mo and check the pants for any sign of a bulge. Note that even after following the above guidelines there is still no guarantee that she is the real deal. Rule of thumb, if it seems to good to be true, it is! A tip from a fellow traveller; Mixing excessive consumption of alcohol with lady boys may severely impair you judgment and is not advised.

THAILAND - Dive trip, Red & Purple Rock

After having such a brilliant time on the dive safari in the Maldives we decided to have another go here in Thailand and set out for 3 days and 2 nights. The diving was equally spectacular but Adventure II made this boat, the Excalibur, seem old and rusty.
The food was also mediocre but the fresh tuna caught off the back of the boat, freshly sliced with some wasabi and soy sauce was divine!
We spotted a zebra shark for the first time. Funnily enough it desn't look anything like a zebra, it actually has spots and is also known as a leopard shark. Thankfully the big fella wasn't too interested in us.

THAILAND - Southern Thailand
Crossing the border from Malaysia into Thailand was an interesting experience. In researching the best and cheapest way to cross the border we received many different and opposing recommendations. Confused, as we usually are after seeking advice from locals, we used our best judgment and decided to continue on to the town which is the usual stop over point for border crossing which strangely enough was further than a couple of other towns we passed through on the train.

Great view over Kho Phi Phi. The impact of the tsunami ripping through this tiny island can still be seen today. There is a lot of rebuilding going on, lots of new lodges, restaurants and shopping malls but it will take a lot longer for the vegetation to grow back.

The full moon party on Phi Phi Is. had taken a severe toll. As my brother and I climbed to the top of the cliff our ambitous target of 20m was rejected by our bodies after sampling first the 10m then the 12m cliff jump.

James Bond Island - rather underwhelming and overrun with boatloads of tourists. But what else do you expect for an island named after 007.
