MALAYSIA - Sarawak, Borneo

Our first visit to Semenggoh left our necks a little strained. Analisa, the pregnant orangutang visited but didnt come down for a feed. Instead she picked the newly ripened fruit in the canopy above before delivering a warm shower and building a nest for a siesta.

On our second day we were disappointed to not have a single visitor during the morning feed. Unrelenting, we hung around the park all day with just a pack of cashews and water for food. Just before the afternoon feeding the heavens opened up drowning the chance of a visit from one of the rehabilatated orangutangs. Not ready to give up yet we stuck around for the feeding and as suspected no show again. Feeling glum and about to leave defeated, the ranger gets a call in to say the dominant male Richie is approaching the staff quarters. Our patience paid off - what a sight.

One day stopover in Singapore to check out a few sites and catch up with good ol' buddies Rayan and Alex for a yarn and a bit of tucker.

Enjoying one of Singapore's many freebies in the huge international airport.
