INDIA - Jaipur
Water Palace - formerly the summer residence of the Raj.

Our friendly rickshaw driver with orange hair, like many Indian men around this town. And below an odd tourist keeping the theme with a flashy orange suit. Nice look.

Brightly coloured spices found in the many little shops lining the main bazaars.
Safety standards are different here. Bamboo scaffolding is commonly found on construction sites. Even in big cities like Delhi!

INDIA - Jodphur

The beautiful 'blue city'
The impressive and impenetrable Merangarh Fort.

James looking the part in his Rajasthani turban.

.
Dining at the Raj's palace, now half converted into a very fancy hotel where they iron the table cloths with an ancient looking iron before new guests take a seat

INDIA - Camel Safari near Jaisalmer
The overnight camel safari was a real experience to say the least. After 1 hour on the camel we were all relieved that we only signed up for a day and a half not two days or worse still 3 nights - I dread to imagine.

The sunset wasn't the most spectacular we have seen so far but the electrical storm that continued for most of the night was absolutely awesome - unfortunately our camera just couldn't capture that one for you.

After a night on the sand dunes with the dung beetles it was a relief for me (Suzi) to see the sun rising and what a beautiful sight it was with the silhouette of the camels in the foreground.
